Gurung people are spread out in small numbers towards eastern Nepal and as well around Nepal Far west within hills and mountainous region, a simple and hardy folks with lively occupation of farming and cattle (sheep-goats-yaks) herders and breeders.

Nepal Gurung Heritage Tour takes you to Nepal Mid West around Annapurna region at famous touristic Pokhara city of great beauty with mountains-green hills and lakes, where a drive or hike lands you around Gurung villages, with typical mountain and hill houses made out of mud and stones or bricks, with white washed and red colored earth houses.
Every house do have some domesticated animals, although interwoven with Tibetan Buddhism like Sherpa and Tamang tribes, but Gurung people also practiced ancient sect of religion called Bon, due to this practice they are hunters as well, that is why they are recruited in foreign legion and army.
Walk or drive leads you to mid hills with amazing views of Annapurna and Manaslu range of mountains visiting Gurung villages of Ghandrung-Landrung and Dhampus in the harmony of immense culture and custom, like other Tibetan Buddhism Gurung houses also hoist prayer flags known as Lung-Ta (Wind Horse).
Gurung people are well off with their agriculture and farming including cattle herding, where men folk of long history joining in armies of Nepal-India and Britain besides farming there are very expert in weaving their own clothes with raw fabrics and making mats and tools or furniture with great work of art and craft.
