Prashanna Ghimire

I have always been a lover of the great outdoors, drawn to the sublime beauty and raw grandeur of the Himalayas. Growing up in Nepal, these mountains were my playground, their towering peaks and verdant valleys a constant source of wonder. But it wasn’t until I returned to Nepal in 2015, after years of living in Australia, that I truly began to understand the depth of my connection to these mountains.

Since then, my life has been a breathtaking journey of passion and discovery. I’ve been trekking through the majestic Himalayan landscapes, exploring their beauty and vastness, and experiencing firsthand the allure that brings trekkers from around the world to Nepal. This passion led me to establish my own trekking agency, where I’ve combined my love for the mountains with my drive to share the awe-inspiring beauty of Nepal with others.

Running my trekking agency has been as fulfilling as it has been challenging. It allows me to provide unique and memorable experiences to those seeking to discover the wonders of Nepal. As someone who has grown up here and embarked on many treks myself, I bring authenticity and in-depth knowledge to my work. I love showcasing the best of Nepal and the richness of its natural beauty.

I believe in preserving the environment that has given me so much joy, and I am committed to sustainable tourism. In my trekking tours, I incorporate eco-friendly practices, ensuring the trails we love remain intact for future generations of trekkers. I am not just sharing the beauty of the landscapes, but also educating visitors about their importance and how to respect them.

Returning to Nepal from Australia was a challenging transition, but my resilience and adaptability saw me through. I realized that my heart belonged to the mountains of my homeland, and no matter where I might roam, Nepal is where I truly belong.

In my work, I strive to bridge the gap between my deep-rooted Nepalese heritage and the expectations of international tourists. I aim to give them a genuine and enriching Nepalese experience, while also ensuring their comfort and safety.
In the end, my journey is not just about running a successful business; it’s about sharing my love for Nepal and its majestic mountains with the world. I consider myself not only a business owner but also an ambassador of Nepal’s rich culture and breathtaking landscapes. It’s a role that I cherish and take very seriously, and I wouldn’t have it any other way.
