MAKALU BASE CAMP TREKKING
Makalu Base Camp trekking, a great adventure on Nepal Far Eastern Himalaya leads you to world’s fifth highest Mt. Makalu base camp, the mountain that towers above 8, 463 m / 27,766 ft high, one of the most challenging peak for climbers than other high mountains of Himalaya.
Makalu Base Camp trekking rewards you with excellent views of world highest mountains from Everest-Lhotse-Makalu to world 3rd highest Kanchenjunga towards east direction with rare Khansung the East Face of Everest, which is hardly seen from anywhere except on the Makalu base camp trekking.
Besides mountain views walk leads you into remote and isolated farm villages hardly visited by other trekkers in this part of wilderness of pristine surrounding with daily views of snow clad peaks on walks.
A marvelous trek walking on high ridges above Arun valley to reach scenic Barun valley after crossing over few passes of over 4,000 m and within clouded forest of rhododendron-magnolia-pines-firs and oak trees with varied species of orchids found around Barun areas of Makalu.
Finally walk leads to our destination at Makalu base camp above 4,812 m / 15,879 ft highest point of the adventure, here with exciting time to marvel the views of peaks and unique landscapes and then heading back to Tumlingtar for scenic flight to Kathmandu with amazing adventure of a lifetime experience on Makalu Base Camp Trekking.
